Multiples, factors, prime numbers and balloons!

We played a balloon game and identified facts about numbers on the balloons. It was a great way to build our understanding and knowledge of multiples and factors.

"2 is a multiple of all even numbers. It is a prime number and is a factor of all even numbers."



"45 is a factor of 45, 90. 135, 180. It is a multiple of 1, 3,5, 9, 15."
"1 is a special number. It is odd, it is a factor of every number, a multiple of every number,
                                                         a  prime number and a
                                                           square number!"
We also played a bingo game where we explored numbers and clues to complete the game.


Just how many number facts can you find related to 180? 270? 540?

    Talking about numbers with balloons sounds like lots of fun. Perhaps some students from your class could come and work with us. How do the balloons help you learn about prime numbers or factors?
