The Farewell assembly is on Thursday 9th June at 9am in the Dahms Theatre. Parents and siblings are invited. The assembly will be followed by a reception in the ES cafeteria for students and families. The invitations should be winging their way to you soon.
The children are working in groups spread across the grade to prepare the Farewell assembly.
Event Management: This group organises invitations, programmes, timing of events during the assembly. They are monitoring each of the other groups to check that everything is ready in time.
Stage: This group prepares all that is needed for the stage, including scenery. They liaise with the creative group to check they have everything ready for them.
Creative: This group is writing speeches and retelling memories.
IT: This group is responsible for photos, videos and slideshows that will be presented during or after the assembly.
Music: This group is responsible for the music that accompanies all aspects of the assembly and reception afterwards.
Refreshments: This group is preparing refreshments and organising the reception.
These are just a few of the areas for which each group is responsible. The children are enjoying working together in this last unit.
