In Maths, the children are working on collecting 5th grade census information, analysing and interpreting the data and, finally, presenting the data in infographics format. I am looking forward to seeing their final results. I hope to be able to post their infographics on the blog, technology allowing. This morning they wrote about their weekends, following their normal routine of plan, write, check, correct. This should be a useful skill for each child as they move into the Senior School.
The children are continuing to prepare for the assembly and are preparing to hit deadlines to ensure that they are ready for rehearsals next week. The children are organising, writing and performing- it is all their own work! Our role, as teachers, is to ensure they are on task, to support them and to ensure they are ready for the actual performance. It's gradually coming together...
The invitations should be out today. All siblings are welcome and the Event management team are contacting teachers in both schools to inform them. The assembly is in the Dahms theatre at 9am and should last approximately 45 minutes. You are then invited to join your children in the ES cafeteria for refreshments and further entertainment. We expect to finish in the cafeteria at 10.30. This gives us time to clear up and for the children to play out at Recess, before we board the coaches to go to XXL for a bowling treat. The children will be back in school ready for normal pick-up time.
Friday 10th June is our last day (I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by since August last year). School finishes at noon on that day.
I intend to continue to add to the blog, in the meantime, to keep you informed. Best wishes, Natalie Fiddimore.
