New Beginners Class in Grade 5

 Starting January 10 there is a new class for 5^th grade Beginners. We are 12 students and we come from 10 different countries. First we had to learn our teacher's name: Frau Rabearisoa, and now we are allowed to call her "Frau R."- it's much shorter! We play a lot to get know each other better. Every class starts with a ball game as a warm-up activity to practise everyday conversation in German. We learned the necessary vocabulary to present ourselves, and our family and to speak about our hobbies. We use a variety of verbs with the appropriate the correct endings for "ich, du, er/sie". Each student created a poster, have a look at the photos and the display in the corridor. We assessed our own work and that of our peers using rubrics in German! The DVD series "Muzzy" accompanies the learning.
