Walkathon

Earlier on this term older students from Project Tanzania and Habitat for Humanity visited to talk about how the money raised by the Walkathon is used to help others. The Walkathon Committe decide how the money is divided to help others. Last year Mrs. Fiddimore's First Grade Class raised money for a village in Sudan that was building a school. This fund raising is led by a Sudanese man, Gabriel Bol Deng, who escaped from Sudan during the war when he was only 14 years old. He has now been able to return to his village. The Walkathon Committee added to the money  raised so that the First Graders were able to contribute 1700 Euros in total to Gabriel Bol Deng's school building programme.

There are many Projects that benefit from money raised during the Walkathon. Please send in all your sponsorship money and donations in order to help our Projects. Many thanks.

On our walk today we strolled in beautiful weather and saw many things!
