A Quick Note.

This week we began our new unit 'How the World Works'. Please see the blog entry 'Necessity is the Mother of Invention' to find out more.

We also began our new unit on Measurement and have spent the week exploring rectangular prisms and Volume.
We opened up cereal boxes to see how they were made. Then the children had a go at making their own boxes. They quickly learned how important it is to measure accurately!

Dennis chaired our Class Meeting and Aurelie was the Secretary. Next time Aurelie will be Chair and will choose a new Secretary.
In literacy we read a poem (see 'Necessity' blog entry) and have spent some time writing plays and graphic explanations to show our understanding. On Monday each group will have the chance to show their work on the poem. (Watch this space!)

Have a good weekend. Don't forget to have a try at commenting on the post "Necessity is the Mother of Invention".
